Shopping for Candles
After much work over the weekend, the new candle store at Prairie Soy Candles is now live! I’ve very excited about the new store, and I’m sure you will all love it as well. There’s lots of great features for customers, including:
- Shopping cart
Add items to your cart for now or for later, and they will never be deleted! Just set up a customer account for free to use this feature.
- Exact shipping and more options
Our old cart had a fixed cost and was estimated. Now you can choose not only which method but the cheapest and fastest as well! Choose from USPS or UPS - several options are available for each. There’s even an option for local orders to choose free shipping (available in Iowa only).
- Order History
After purchasing from our new online store, you can log in to your account to check your past ordering history. It will show what you ordered, when it was ordered, how much it cost, and what the order status is (Pending, Processing, Shipped, or Delivered).
- Gift Certificates via Email
Now you can purchase gift certificates and have a “gift certificate account” where money is stored. You can either use the amount for yourself at a later date, OR send specific amount to people via email. Gift certificates are only available online at this time, and can only be sent to others with an email address. See our “Gift Certificate FAQ” for details on this option.
- Coupon Check
If you’ve received a coupon code from us, you can now check the details on the code before purchasing. A handy option for those wanting to know if the code is still valid, or what it includes.

To celebrate, we’re offering several freebies and even some new items:
$2 Off
If you use our new online store to make a purchase in the month of April, take $2 off any size order! Just use the code “newcustomer” for your discount. Limit one per customer, good for April only.
Write a Review
Have you purchased from us before? Write a review for the product you purchased, and we’ll email you a $5 gift certificate that you can use on any order. Gift certificate will be given after review is approved. Just visit our online store, and find the product you’ve purchased in the past. You’ll see a link that says “write a review”. This offer will be good the entire month of April, so if you purchase any time this month and write a review we will send you a gift certificate! Valid until April 30th.
New Sample Packs
There’s been tons of requests for melt sample packs, so we’ve made them available in the new store. Currently there’s three available - Bakery Scent Sampler, Sprint Scent Sampler, and Summer Scent Sampler. Each sampler comes with 12 different scented melt. See our catagory of melts for details on each and to see what each pack includes.
